Echo’s voice was stolen and she was sentenced to repeat what everyone else said. Trapped, she decides to take shelter in a cave and to distance herself from human touch.

Xosé phoned me.
– Hey Xacio! I’m going to vacate my family apartment in A Coruña. Nobody lives there now. Do you want to film the process? I would love to.
– What for?
– To have a memory.
While they were dismantling the apartment, they found inside several boxes the diaries of Xosé’s mother. Thirty years of unorganized notebooks. The first decision was that the journey should be shared. I wanted that Xosé and his girlfriend Rocío were an active part of the creative process. We talked, we ate many times together, we developed part of the dialogues, we tested, we wrote. It has been quite a natural and organic process. One, who jealously guards his time, feels that when I spend it with stories like the one we narrate in “Eco”, everything is worth the effort
